Writing questions-jump on board!
Good day mates! It’s a cool 70 degrees this morning, and I am in my writing chair. The problem is – wait for it – PLOT.

I cannot for the life of me figure out this plot. It started out with a plan and a resolution, but once I began writing it, the darn thing went off in a strange direction and now I cannot wrangle it back into the fold.
It’s so concrete. A mystery should be a mystery and anything else thrown in is just noise. Well, this one has a lot of noise. Mainly Shannon Wallace and her problems are more of the story than the mystery. It has to be ripped apart and rewritten. It just has to be.

Have you ever written a book that you had to destroy to improve? And i don’t mean just a scene or two. This thing will require complete disassembly in order to make a mystery of it. It reads now like its a woman’s fiction rather than a mystery. Which is not terrible but not really appropriate to what I am trying to accomplish with it.
Guess who is going to be in editing mode for awhile?
Also, in case you didn’t see my Facebook post, Disk of Death, the first Shannon Wallace mystery will be FREE for Kindle download this weekend. Go get yours at Amazon.
