Two books to take to the beach
Are you reading at the beach?
Here is my latest book reading post, and if you are reading a book that is just super dooper please feel free to leave a comment below and tell me about it!
I am currently reading two books, both in paper. One I keep in my drawer at work and read it on my lunch hour, and the other is at home.
What beach read is Kim reading?
The work book *hah, workbook! tiny joke* is The House on Mermaid Point by Wendy Wax. This is another one in her series that started with Ten Beach Road, one of my all time favs.
You can check it out at this link:
It is a great summer read, all set on an exclusive Florida island, and has some of my fav characters in it. I am truly enjoying this book!
My other book, the house book, is an older book, but my first by this author! It is by Elaine Viets, and it is one of her “Dead End Jobs” mysteries. Poor Helen, the main character…is someone you will identify with. Click on the cover to get this other book.
I have nothing but good things to say about it as well. It is a mystery-what could be wrong with that?
So, I am reading two books, and in differing genres, but it’s really a sort of cool example of differing voices, and differing tastes. You might as well know now, I am plotting a horror novel. Yep. Me. And it is sort of consuming me at the moment too, so go figure.
Anyway, hope you are having a great day, and getting a little reading done. Everyone is at the beach, going to the beach, or planning a trip to the beach in my cadre. All but little me. I hope to remedy that soon, though.
What are you summer plans? Be sure to take a good book along with you. That would make an author’s summer pretty sterling. And PLEASE REVIEW them!
