Kim Smith, author goals/resolutions for 2016

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2016! Yesterday I reflected on my goals accomplished, and today it is all about what will happen in this shiny new year for Kim Smith, author. I will review this in six months and again at the end of 2016 to see what accomplishments I have. Feel free to list your goals, and we can keep each other accountable!
Kim Smith, author goals for 2016
- Launch Disk of Death, my cozy(caper) mystery on February 8, 2016
Get to be #1 on the Amazon category for mystery/thriller(or cozy/caper) – yes, I know, it’s a little lofty and ambitious but hey, it’s my goal for this year! More info about this book’s launch and contests coming soon!
- Go to Bouchercon in New Orleans in September
I am not looking to pitch a book to anyone, or any of that, as I am a happy indie author, but I do love New Orleans and who wouldn’t enjoy hanging out with authors of their chosen genre????
- Finish edits on Pushing up Posies(working title), book two of my mystery series
by June. Editing takes time, but I may be able to move things along faster with this one than I did with book one.
- Provide more book reviews and contests on this site
I haven’t done nearly enough book reviews or guest posts or contests on Kim Smith, author, and I hope to correct that in 2016.
- Continue to enjoy my unplugged Thursdays with my local writing friends
I think it is so important for us to get with other authors and share ideas. My group is like a mastermind group. We share marketing ideas, writing tips, etc. We sometimes even get a little writing done!
- Continue to expand and grow Writer Groupie Podcast and blog
Now that the podcast has its own site, http://www.writergroupie.net – podcast listeners and friends can enjoy all the benefits of my vast knowledge of writing and the writing life in more depth. I will post up info for writers to profit from their productions there at the blog and keep this one more focused on Kim Smith, author-me.
And I am sure I will have more personal goals, things that include getting fit! But as the over-achiever that I am, you already knew that, right?
What are your goals for 2016? Post them in the comments!
