Hurricane Ian and us

Well, by now everyone knows that the storm has passed. It was definitely one for the record books. I am still shaking over it, to be honest. Hurricane Ian taught me many lessons, the first of which, do not discount friendships for the sake of propriety. A dear writing buddy of mine, www.nlwestaway.com invited us to shelter with them, and she and her hubby took the best care of us! And I wasn’t going to even ask them, because well, friends- propriety. You should not do that in the face of a storm like Hurricane Ian.

I suffered a little damage. If you follow me on social media you have no doubt seen it. But in case – here’s the pics of it. We survived and gratefulness has replaced everything else. A good time to remind us all to be happy with what we have even in the bad times because someone else has it way worse.

In other news, I received words that my box set for the Mt. Moriah series has been selected as book of the month for the Florida Writers Assn newsletter. It will also be featured on their website! I am too thrilled about this news and it came at a much needed time.

Sorry the blogs have been far and few between. I hope to be on track soon.
