Creative prompts for other writers

Some days it’s hard to come up with something to write. Especially when you are a producing author who turns out a couple of books a year or so and a ton of short stories and even more blog posts. Some times the well runs dry.

Well, I am here to “tweak your muse” this morning. You know you want me to 😛

I wrote the book Ten Tips for Getting that Book Written just for this purpose too. It has a lot of great little things in it to get you motivated to write — I hope you will check it out.

So, for today, take these items and write about them. Put them in an article, or short story. It can even be flash fiction. Maybe the beginning of a longer work will come from this exercise.

A job review
A pink polka dotted gift bag
A Mexican restaurant
A pretty twenty something woman with long brown hair
A business man dressed in a suit with a bright blue tie
A mother of two young children
A harried waiter who speaks Spanish incessantly
Tamales that are undercooked

Okay, get writing! Good luck!
