Christmas Tea recipe

Christmas Tea recipe

Okay, I intended to post recipes every day for the holidays, but as my luck would have it, that will not be possible. I will definitely post some…but not daily. The Smith casa has gotten very busy all of a sudden. But that’s another great thing about December. It is filled with family, friends, and fun times.

So, last time we had a chicken recipe (check it out here) – this time I decided to do a beverage recipe. Next time, something sweet, I suspect.

This one can be consumed as you write your new WIP as well. It seems to bring out the best in a writer who is influenced by lovely seasonal smells.

Here is one of my very favorite holiday classics.

tea

On the next day of Christmas my true love gave to me…a recipe for Christmas TEA! This recipe can be made in batches and placed in decorative jars for gifts. It also is great simmering on the stove on Christmas day, or as a lovely hot beverage for anytime this holiday season. Your guests will love the way it makes your house smell as well as how great it tastes.

Serve it with finger sandwiches, cookies, or candy canes and have everyone ooh and ahh over your hard work (which wasn’t hard at all!) – You can play with these ingredients until you get something that works for you. Some people omit the candies, as he cinnamon is strong.

CHRISTMAS TEA

Mix together well.

  • 2(26 ounce) jars orange breakfast drink mix
  • 1(3 ounce) jar instant tea
  • 1(10 1/2 ounce) package red cinnamon candies
  • 1(6 ounce) package sweetened lemonade drink mix
  • 1cup sugar
  • 3teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2teaspoons fresh ground nutmeg
  • 2teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 2teaspoons cloves
  • 2teaspoons allspice

One teaspon of the mix to a cup of boiling water. Add a cinnamon stick to decorate with/stir with.
