Going on vacation Deux edition

Remember when I said I was going on vacay? Well, that didn’t happen due to sickness. Hubs and I came down with a nasty bug, NOT COVID. Post about that here Y’all remember colds? Yeah, those nasty bugs that invade your space and turn you into a tissue tossing monster who cannot do anything but lie around and moan about congestion? Yes, it was like that. But! Here we are a few weeks post bug and about to HIT THE ROAD! In fact, when you read this, we will more than likely be driving toward our destination. It feels so
Hiking Trip part five – the waterfall

Last day: the waterfall Last time we met, I was checking out an old 1800s cemetary. There was so much spookiness on those grounds, even Stephen King would have enjoyed it. I hope to get to go back some day and let my writing mind take over. It’s hard to do that when you are so filled with fresh air and excitement as I was from the hike. I even captured a little of fall’s colors (or maybe it was death to a living thing from a hot summer?) At any rate, it was an exciting day hike on route
Summer is here: Let’s pick out a book

It’s the first day of summer and you know what that means. DISCLAIMER: READING! It’s the summer reading season. So wanna know my opinion on some things? Well, you are about to get it, so if you don’t want to hear my tirade about books and reading, then please be forewarned. I get emails from Amazon pretty regularly, and oftentimes they tout a book I have recently browsed for or read. They target market me that way. You too? What? You didn’t know you were being marketed to? Well, think about it. How did they know what books to suggest?
The Whiteboard, Part Ten

Hey everyone! It’s part ten! Here is another installment on the continuing saga of Anne and her whiteboard. I am coming to the end of the story now, and I hope you haven’t figured out who the “writer” is. If so, don’t tell anyone! It’s been fun writing this weird tale. It’s also been a means to my getting some writing in each week. As my time gets squashed again with personal life stuff, I may not have time to do this for a while. Thanks for reading along! Be sure to check out my interesting tidbit at the end
Imaginarium 2015 wrap-up

I am baaaaack! Imaginarium 2015 was a total utter win. Linda Rettstatt and I had a blast. We sold books, signed books, chatted with other writers, took pictures, sat on panels–well, in other words took full advantage of the event. It was held in the Crowne Plaza at the Louisville Airport (not IN the airport but in the vicinity of it) We arrived on Thursday evening so we could get all settled in and take a breath before plunging into the con. It is always a great idea to do this–in case you are taking notes. Have a nice dinner,
