Ready. Set. Write. Fail.

Ready. Set. Write. Fail.

I just realized it is Tuesday, and my RSW post was due yesterday. I didn’t have much to report anyway as I was on vacation all last week and the writing I did was minimal. I loved the RSW intensive, however, and will probably try something else this fall to motivate me. It would be great if I could FINISH my WIP and stop procrastinating about it. I feel like a slug inching my way along. ShotHotspot.com / Foter / Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 Generic (CC BY 2.0) On another note, I will be putting up a brand NEW podcast

Amazon/Hachette Debacle

The Amazon/Hachette debacle goes on … and it seems everyone has an opinion. Some are on the side of Amazon, and say they are for the indie author. Sunday Ruminations

What is it about Sunday that makes us all want to chat on our blogs about things that are shaking and moving our world? Is it the Sunday morning programs on television? I don’t get Twitter, how do you USE it?

If I have heard this once, I have heard it a thousand times. People just do not get how to use Twitter. And that in and of itself is funny. You don’t have to “use” it. It’s a social site, people. You just have to be SOCIAL. These are a few things NOT to do on Twitter: 1. Tweet only what you had for supper. 2. Tweet only reviews of your book. 3. Tweet only advertisements to buy your book. 4. Tweet only your own blog posts. So how CAN you use Twitter to make a difference? So glad you

Three things I learned from Gravity, the movie

I watched Gravity with Sandra Bullock last night and here are a few takeaways. First off, I know that most people go to watch movies for the entertainment value derived from it. I get that. But most writers watch for information from the screenwriter. Clues and cues on how to do it. At least that is what I think. I watched Gravity with a warning from my daughter that it was a total nail-biter. And she wasn’t kidding. The writers put the character’s butt up in a tree (a space station actually) and set proverbial bears loose to climb it.
