A writer’s morning routine

Morning? WHY? And why are some of us coffee fiends before 8 am. Good morning, friends! I decided maybe you would enjoy my morning routine info to get you motivated to maybe create one? I didn’t use to have one, either. It behooved me to do anything before 8 AM aside from drinking coffee and bemoan my fate. But now, since I am sort of retired, I needed some structure. So, in all it’s ugliness, here is my MORNING ROUTINE. MORNING ROUTINE 7 AM – get up, struggle with getting eyes open, turn coffee maker on (I always set this

Exciting announcement: The Mt. Moriah Series

Hi everyone! I am lifting my head from my writing desk because I am **ALMOST** finished with In the Holler, the first book in my new Mt. Moriah series. I don’t know about you guys, but I am feeling really good today.  Maybe it’s because I did a early morning walk about the community or maybe it’s because I have been really trying hard at life … OR maybe it’s because I’ve reached a major milestone in my work in progress – BECAUSE I DID! Why does Kim feel so good? Right now, I am deeper into word count than I have been for a lonnnng time.  i.e. I have now

Hiking Trip Part Four- the day hike-cemetary

The day hike: the cemetary Last time I left you with the incident that created my trail name. Stinger. Haha. Well, it sort of fits. I buzzed the hill and stung my bucket list with hiking and camping in the middle of my life. And for sure, will do it again. I am conditioning now for the next one. Would like to see what the PNW has to offer in wild life. Going back to Alabama though. There is a HILL I want to scale. So, the next day, after getting up and drinking instant coffee with powdered creamer and
