Brian Laundrie’s remains found according to news
and why writers should be paying attention to it. Hey everybody, welcome back to the blog. Today, I found that yet again the story about Brian Laundrie is the main news story. It’s because they believe they may have found his remains. This, my friends, may be the most sad news story of all news stories in the news today. Why sad, you ask angrily? Well, let me explain… You see, this couple, Brian and Gabby were high school sweethearts. They were traveling together, and something happened to them and the relationship that was unexpected and unwarranted. Because Brian may
The day after the fourth of July

It’s July Fifth, feels a lot like Monday, and hot out. The air is a sticky gray, and I somehow made it to work. I can’t even remember dressing in the bathroom. I swore when I left my house that I was going to be careful because driving while barely awake is dangerous. With the days’s food piled in my lunchbag, I walked inside the building. Mini-con wrapup

The MINI-CON was a HIT! Good morning, friends! Today is the day after the mini-con that my mastermind group, Desoto Writers Alliance, put on at the library. It was SO MUCH FUN! If you were a part of this event, thank you from the bottom of my heart for attending. It was the first of our efforts to bring together writers, aspiring and otherwise. End of Year Reflection: Love What You Have Done-Comprehend What Didn’t Happen As writers, we all tread the same path, and the end of a year punctuates our successes and failures. I love how we can plan out our goals and follow up on them, success and loss. Many of you have kept me accountable with what I wanted to accomplish and what I managed to do. As the year wanes, I am certainly having moments of reflection. I did some things right, and some were just not done. It’s fun to tell my blog followers when I make a
Writing a novel first draft via Nanowrimo

Some of us have already ended Nanowrimo, and some of us are about to do so with the close of November. No matter if you have succeeded with the 50,000 words or not, we all have gotten SOMETHING on our work accomplished and isn’t that the whole purpose? This post is for those who are now holding that precious first draft. Rock on, you writer, you! GIVE IT A WHIRL I made my own story a nemesis this month by writing something from the seat of my pants, no outline, no idea what it would be. And it is a
