How is it going? I wanted to check in and give you all an update as to where I am in my goals for the 90 days so far. So far, I have finished the sweet romance/family saga, first draft. This is going to be a fun series. I do not plan to release any of these books right away because I want to focus on getting my fantasy out in the world. Writing, a business you say?
But, no, not business writing! Here I am again, writing on my blog for the third time this week. What is WRONG with me???? (I think it is insomnia, really) But I am committed to putting out some new content this year. That includes blogging, books, etc. So, hang with me for a minute. So, you have likely heard (even from me!) that writing is not just art. It is also a business by many these days. They are turning out books on regular release dates, marketing (which really means spending money they haven’t made yet) and promoting their work

Is your social media like family?
What makes your life story? Is it your family? Your friends? Your career? I would be certain that it isn’t your social media, right? So, why is it that so many people are spending so much of their life posting to the Internet? What is it about social media that we cannot stay away from? Experts have an opinion. It is said that people (humans) are social creatures and some like social media to keep in touch with other humans. Some say that it is a networking thing. Professionals need it to promote their business. Either way, it’s a tool.

Mini-con wrapup
The MINI-CON was a HIT! Good morning, friends! Today is the day after the mini-con that my mastermind group, Desoto Writers Alliance, put on at the library. It was SO MUCH FUN! If you were a part of this event, thank you from the bottom of my heart for attending. It was the first of our efforts to bring together writers, aspiring and otherwise. We had members of some local author groups in the crowd and it was so wonderful to see writer buddies that we don’t get to see (aside from online) very often. Many of you came up
