New series for you

New series for you

Today I found an old site, Dragon Writing Prompts. It hasn’t been updated in about a year or so, but there are some really good things on that site to jar the muse. It made me have an idea for a new blog series for you. One of those muse-tweakers (my term for them) was “What do you do when your writer won’t write?” This set me off on a great idea for a blog series for you, dear readers. How about we cover those items that readers ask of writers. Like, WHY haven’t you come out with BOOK X?

Writing questions-jump on board!

Good day mates! It’s a cool 70 degrees this morning, and I am in my writing chair. The problem is – wait for it – PLOT. I cannot for the life of me figure out this plot. It started out with a plan and a resolution, but once I began writing it, the darn thing went off in a strange direction and now I cannot wrangle it back into the fold. It’s so concrete. The Journal Of Kim Smith

Well, I am going to have to start sharing my journal with you soon, friends. I am getting out in the world and trying new things. This week: hiking with my son. Yes, this is a great idea. The day after the fourth of July

The day after the fourth of July

It’s July Fifth, feels a lot like Monday, and hot out. The air is a sticky gray, and I somehow made it to work. I can’t even remember dressing in the bathroom. I swore when I left my house that I was going to be careful because driving while barely awake is dangerous. With the days’s food piled in my lunchbag, I walked inside the building. It was hopeless, and I was in sandals. The elevator was too empty to bear, never mind keep awake in; I didn’t even have head space because of sleep deprivation… I leaned against the

Weekly links: Mixed bag of goodies

Weekly links: Mixed bag of goodies

Good morning, lovelies! It’s a mixed bag for links this week. There is some stuff about Valentines Day (sorry, I know it’s over) and there is some stuff about blogs, stuff about technology, etc. It’s just fun to click a link and magically get transported to someone’s blog and see what they are talking about, isn’t it? I am going to try to get a real blog post up here soon. I have a lot to share, but just no time to share it! I also hope to be updating the website soon, so be sure to look for new
