12 Days of Christmas-Recipe for Chicken

A Sweet and Spicy Christmas free promo time has run out. I hope you got it while it was out there on free download. If you did get it, I would love for you to review it for me.
If you didn’t, don’t be sad, it will be offered again next year. Like Santa.
This is the beginning of the 12 Days of Christmas -day 12 to be exact. So on the blog for the remainder of the Christmas season, I will be posting up cooking stuff. It IS the season, n’est pas?
So, let’s talk chicken. Since I am currently cooking one, I think it might be fun to talk about chicken facts.
- You only have to boil a whole chicken for about 90 minutes – or until it falls off the bone. Then you can pull it off the bone or chop it up and use it for salads, and other dishes.
- There are more chickens in the world than any other bird.
- Baby chickens are called chicks. Female chicks are pullets until they are old enough to lay eggs then they are hens.
- The chicken was the first to have its genome sequenced – in 2004.
And as promised, here is a fun chicken recipe. I am making this tonight so – it’s on my mind.
ROTEL CHICKEN SPAGHETTI
Whole chicken
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can chicken broth
1 can Rotel tomatoes *the mild kind is what I use*
Spaghetti noodles (12 ozs)
Velvetta Cheese (#1) cubed
Boil a whole chicken, discard bones and skin. Cook spaghetti in the water from the chicken, drain.
Mix together the soup, broth, and tomatoes. In a 13×9 pan, spread a layer of spaghetti, chicken, soup mix, cheese.
Bake in a 350 degree oven until hot and cheese has melted(about 30-45 minutes) Remove from oven, stir well, and add salt and pepper to taste.
Can be served with rolls, cornbread, or crackers. Serves 6-8 – GREAT FOR CHRISTMAS EVE!
