Holiday weekends

I am enjoying my long weekend. I have gotten a little writing done, a little editing done, and a little reading done. More than that though, I have rested.

Isn’t that what holiday weekends are for? At the moment as I write this, I am on the way to another brick and mortar bookstore to spend time.

If predictions ring true, these buildings that have brought me so much joy and relaxation will be gone in another few years.

Could it happen? Could the digital age turn so abruptly as to send physical bookstores into the dead zone? I hope not. I don’t want to lose these places of retreat.

No matter how many ebooks I download and enjoy I still want a place to curl up in with a hot cup of something.

So for now I am on my way to the big Barnes and Noble in a nearby town. I hope you are having a good time as well.
