Are you a hungry surfer after information?
Everyone needs information. This is why we Google stuff, follow news stories, read self-help books, watch Youtube videos, etc. Equally, if we give practical instruction online, it can be one of the best and easiest ways to make money on the Internet. Everybody seeks knowledge, so if you can hand it over, you can make bank. Have you ever considered how long you are online? Do you spend any of that time digging up answers to questions, or looking for help on certain subjects? Yeah, me too. A LOT of my online time is spent this way.
GIVE INFORMATION – GET CASH
There are certain processes you can use to provide details to others and spawn yourself a living out of it at the same time. Each one has a special method of putting the information out there and your take on it is different as a result. A lot of beneficial sites sometimes enlighten their visitors with a collection of more than one of these methods. Think about which of the following would fit for you and your needs. (in no particular order):
A blog is a great way to present your stuff online because the blogging software does all of the presenting for you. This website, for instance, is a blog. Whenever I can, I log into my WP account, write in the post area, click schedule or publish and the software updates my site by magic. I can also feed it out to other sites at the same time!
It’s fast and fun, and you can set one up for free. There are a lot of blogging sites, but the most popular seem to be WordPress and Blogger, so check into those first.
Easy to set-up, write on, edit, and maintain
Builds community with your readers – (I have made a lot of good friends this way!)
Sets you up as an expert in whatever genre/niche you choose
Blog can be used to promote merchandise like an ebook or a course
Can be free
Too many blogs like yours on the web
Not a quick way to fame and fortune, many taking years to get readership and thereby create your expert status
Has to have someone at the helm to keep posting, maintain site, and answers comments
Ways to make money with blogs:
Advertising. (Google Adsense, etc.)
Affiliate Links (Amazon.com, etc.)
Donations. (yes, I have a Paypal account set up for this purpose but no one has used it!)
Ebooks can be an excellent way to research, educate and distribute information to people. Usually ebooks can be created in easy to view formats and can be sold or offered straight from your site. Ebooks are very common today, especially with Amazon’s Kindle, and iBooks being on every iPhone sold.
If you write it and sell it off your site(versus using 3rd parties), there is no one else to pay, no publishers and no retailers to take any of the profits
You can sell via online distributors such as Amazon, Kobo, iBooks, and keep up to 70%
There’s no expense once its complete and ready to sell
It can earn you money forever
It’s easy to set up an affiliate program to have other websites sell it too.
An Ebook can take a lot of time to write. If you are short on time, you may feel overwhelmed.
It’s difficult to sell an Ebook from scratch. In other words, if you don’t have a readership already, finding people to buy your book can be tricky.
Ways to make money with ebooks:
Visitors click on a “Buy Now” button on your website, which takes them to a form to fill out with their billing information. After processing, money is put into your account.
There are several companies who will deliver the product for you, and they don’t take any money from your sales.
Or you can sell it via ebook distributors such as Amazon or Kobo etc.
There are some who have membership sites. The main idea is that people who are like-minded need and want a gathering site to learn and share information and ideas. If you are the membership host, you are in the green. I will try to have more about this later.
You can also sell products that you create. Most people love workshops, tutorials, and how-to videos.
If you are not in a hurry, I would recommend starting with a blog, and then sell an ebook or start a product line to take your sales to the next level.
