The day after the fourth of July

The day after the fourth of July

The day after the fourth of July

It’s July Fifth, feels a lot like Monday, and hot out. The air is a sticky gray, and I somehow made it to work. I can’t even remember dressing in the bathroom. I swore when I left my house that I was going to be careful because driving while barely awake is dangerous. With the days’s food piled in my lunchbag, I walked inside the building. It was hopeless, and I was in sandals. The elevator was too empty to bear, never mind keep awake in; I didn’t even have head space because of sleep deprivation… I leaned against the

Weekly links: Mixed bag of goodies

Weekly links: Mixed bag of goodies

Good morning, lovelies! It’s a mixed bag for links this week. There is some stuff about Valentines Day (sorry, I know it’s over) and there is some stuff about blogs, stuff about technology, etc. It’s just fun to click a link and magically get transported to someone’s blog and see what they are talking about, isn’t it? I am going to try to get a real blog post up here soon. I have a lot to share, but just no time to share it! I also hope to be updating the website soon, so be sure to look for new

We all love news and tips from  the industry, right? Only recently, one of my favs stopped curating the sites, which

Short list for bloggers

Short list for bloggers

A short list of things you can do today to keep your blog posts relevant As a blogger in today’s social media driven environment, I am finding that traffic is fickle at best. Our sites need to be a little more “shouty” and grab attention in a more interesting way in order to compete with the barrage of sites that are getting all the eyes. Most blogs have a sort of “focus”. That’s not my site, however, I say with a chuckle. I try to be inventive and keep things different so readers don’t get bored. I do apologize when
